<p>Australian <a href="http://www.greenwayhighschool.org/tag/scholarship">Scholarships</a> offer educational and professional development awards to citizens of the Asia-Pacific region. These opportunities bear development in our region and build enduring links at the individual, institutional and country levels.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ILEP (The International Leadership in Education Program) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and is implemented by IREX (the International Research &#038; Exchanges Board), a Washington, DC based non-profit organization. The International Leadership in Education Program will provide 52 teachers from the Near East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States.<span id="more-19"></span></p>
<p>The International Leadership in Education Program will consist of a semester-long academic program at a U.S. university, including coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, curriculum development, teaching strategies for their home environment, educational leadership, as well as the use of computers for Internet, word processing and as tools for teaching. </p>

To be eligible, a candidate must be a national of a World Bank member country that is currently eligible to borrow from the Bank, including Indonesia. In addition, Executive Directors, their alternates, and staff of the World Bank Group,including consultants, as well as their close relatives, are excluded from consideration.</p>
<p>The World Bank Graduate Scholarship program also gives priority to: women; applicants with few other resources and from lower social and economic classes;applicants who have not had previous opportunities for graduate study outside their home country; and applicants who do not already hold a graduate degree from an industrialized country”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality (THE-ICE) is an Australian Government initiative designed to encourage excellence in tourism and hospitality education. THE-ICE has announced their 2007 scholarships to international students who wish to study tourism and hospitality at member institutions around Australia. <span id="more-7"></span>The scholarships comprise a grant of AUD$10,000 per year, available for Bachelor and Diploma level study programs commencing Semester 2, 2007. Charles Darwin University is a foundation member of THE-ICE, and the scholarships apply to CDU�s Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management and Diploma of Hospitality Management. Members of THE-ICE have attained high standards of program excellence in tourism and hospitality education as assessed by an international panel.</p>
