The CTES Fellowship Programme is a 9-month programme designed to support companies and universities in the effective and efficient adoption and exploitation of technology in live, current projects. It attracts highly skilled and motivated technology-based professionals, who are assigned to individual company or university projects. These professionals receive a blend of focused business training and specific technology support to take a technology-based innovation through to a commercial outcome.
Reputation
The CTES Programme is cited as national best practice by the DTI, and applauded by business and political leaders such as Sir Nick Scheele (COO of Ford & Chancellor of Warwick University) and Lord Sainsbury (Under Secretary of State for Science & Innovation).
Track Record
The CTES Programme has been running for three years during which time around £50 million of economic value has been generated for companies, universities and the UK as whole.
One hundred and sixty scientists and engineers, from twenty six countries, have participated on the Programme so far, with the majority moving on to employment in technology development and management within businesses or universities
Management
The Programme, which runs from September each year, is managed by the Centre for Scientific Enterprise Ltd (CSEL), a joint venture between London Business School and University College London. The CTES team also draws upon the resources of their sister company, the London Technology Network, including the London Innovation Relay Centre and other national and international networks and organisations focused on the commercial exploitation of technology
